Use any of the 3 simple ways below to check if your phone supports eSIM.
Open the dial pad and enter *#06#.
Look for EID in the list.
Settings > General > About
Check for EID and Carrier Lock.
Settings > About phone / SIM status
Check for EID or eSIM status.
Go to Settings and see if there is an option to add eSIM.
Settings > Cellular
Tap Add eSIM
Settings > Connections
> SIM manager
Tap Add eSIM
Settings > Network & internet
> SIMs
Tap Add SIM
Enter your phone model to see eSIM compatibility and important notes.

According to Apple, only iPhone Air and iPhone 17e support eSIM when used outside of Mainland China.
Older iPhone models in Hong Kong & Macau support eSIM only on some models:
iPhone XS, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone SE (2nd gen), iPhone SE (3rd gen), iPhone 16e, and all iPhone 17 series & iPhone Air.
